Do your holidays often feel like holi-daze due to an overcrowded schedule and too little sleep? Do you find yourself looking in the mirror and thinking. I look old! How can you perk up for that big party when you're feeling pooped? To do this right, we asked John Soper, makeup specialist and owner of Blades Hair Salon in Orlando, Florida, to tell us the top ten secrets to de-stress and quickly rejuvenate tired skin (guys, you can do some of these too):

  1. Cleanse and moisturize (while skin is damp) eye area and face with products containing AHAs.

  2. Gently cleanse face and then relax for 10 minutes with slices of cucumber on your eyes and a cloth soaked in ice?cold milk on your face. You can wash your face with cold milk if you prefer.

  3. For a quick pick me up, cleanse face, fill sink with ice and then gently put face in the ice or use ice packs on the eyes and face.

  4. Use a firming gel for bags under the eyes.

  5. Use concealer at the outside corner of eyes to perk them up.

  6. Use concealer in the folds from the corner of the nose to the corner of the mouth.

  7. Remember that less is more when it comes to make-up. It's the application not the amount of makeup that enhances your natural beauty.

  8. Stay with neutral colors for lips, eyes and blush.

  9. Use brown (taupe/brown) colors for eyeliner instead of black to avoid harshness and drawing attention to tired eyes.

  10. Avoid gray and the red family of eye shadows. These make you look tired and older, especially when you feel and look tired. Also the same for highly frosted shadows--choose matte finishes.
