President Bush Signs Food Allergy Legislation

If you have food allergies, here's some great news. Beginning January 1, 2006, food manufacturers must identify on their food labels in common language the presence of any of the eight major food allergens. This includes potential allergens used in spices, flavorings, additives and colorings. These allergens include:

milk                  eggs                 peanuts            tree nuts

fish                  shellfish             wheat               soy
